My name is Daniel Le Jeune and I am a sixteen-year-old boy from Claremont, Cape Town, currently in Grade 11. I am a scout, part of the First Claremont Scout troop. I am currently working towards being a Springbok Scout. If you are unfamiliar to scouting in South Africa, this means I am working towards the highest achievement that a Scout can obtain.
The requirements are numerous, but part of this requires a scout to run forty hours of community service, to give back to a community less fortunate than their own.
I have benefitted massively from scouting, from learning valuable leadership skills to making lifelong friends. I feel that I now have the opportunity to let others benefit from this wonderful organisation that is scouting.
